thankful & cherished life

Another day is here...Within this month, there has been two people who have passed on and another one who just had brain surgery for a tumor yesterday...I have always been the kind of person who valued her life...I am a cancer survivor, so I cherish each day and enjoy it as if it were my last...I know how fortunate and Blessed I am...I thank God everyday for His gift of life...My Life...

Thinking

Random thoughts are rolling through my head. Nothing specifically stands out. I need to single them out one at a time and either get them settled or let them go...Quiet my mind...

Giving My Heart

I had shielded my heart from pain,
Not trusting, nor wanting to be in love again.
The hurt was to great, or was it that my expectations were too high?
Whatever it was, I was willing to try.
By some chance or by fate,
You appeared in my life and started to open the gate.

As time went on, my trust in you grew.
You reminded me how good it felt to share and be two.
Our minds came together in a whirlwind of thoughts,
Making it incredibly easy to understand what you brought.
Your only intentions were to make me happy and put my mind at ease.
Things I'd heard before and never believed.

By you being a man of action and not all talk,
You proved to me that you weren't going to walk.
Our lives have become intertwined, and off on a great start.
I've learned to trust you and have given you my heart.
As I have your heart, you hold the key to mine,
Our love will be tested by the hands of time.
We have longed for each other and now we're here,
Ready to explore the world together without any fear...
